“The trampoline is working!” Elon Musk founder and CEO of SpaceX takes a dig on Russian space agency chief Dimitry Rogozin , shortly after the company launched its first crewed Demo-2 test flight to the International Space Station (ISS).

Musk was referring to an April 2014 spike made by Dimitry Rogozin the then Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. Dimitry Rogozin is now the chief of Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos. In 2014, he essentially told NASA to take a flying leap…….on a trampoline. "After analyzing the sanctions against our space industry, I suggest to the USA to bring their astronauts to the International Space Station using a trampoline," Rogozin said via his Russian-language Twitter account. After all, the American space agency had relied completely on Russian Soyuz rockets and spacecraft to get their astronauts to the ISS since the space shuttles retired in 2011.

The tweet came after news reports in which Rogozin, who is in charge of the Russian space program, was quoted as saying sanctions against Russia would have a negative effect on NASA as well as Europe's space effort. "Essentially, the Americans want to clear us out of the space services market," he said.

After six years, SpaceX and NASA in a landmark mission launched its first human crewed spaceflight in a private spacecraft. It was the first time that the astronauts flew through US soil since 2011. To which Musk responded, "The trampoline is working." SpaceX CEO made this statement alongside NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine. . "It's an inside joke," Musk added.

People on twitter started trolling Dimitry Rogozin for the statements made by him years ago and compared it to the current situation.

"Please convey my sincere greetings to @elonmusk (I loved his joke) and @SpaceX team. Looking forward to further cooperation!" Rogozin added in another Tweet (in English).

Musk responded to this tweet with one of his own, in Russian. The English translation, via Google Translate: "Thanks sir, haha. We look forward to mutually beneficial and prosperous long-term cooperation."
