Visiting Burj Khalifa? Here’s What You Must Know

Did you know that the Burj Khalifa is thrice as tall as the Eiffel Tower and two times as tall as the Empire State Building? In fact, the tip of the building can be seen from 95 kilometers away! The cloud piercing height, a view of the Dubai skyline and several world records make this architectural marvel a spectacular tourist destination.

To see this literal skyscraper, the first step is to book a Mumbai to Dubai flight well in advance. Here’s a look at why the Burj Khalifa is such a popular tourist attraction.

How to Get to Burj Khalifa

After deboarding your flight between Mumbai to Dubai, drop your luggage at the hotel and take the metro. This is the most budget-friendly way to get to the building. Get off at the Dubai Mall station and you are ten minutes from Burj Khalifa. Otherwise, you can simply hire a taxi from your location.

What to Expect Inside

You can enjoy the view from the At the Top Observation Deck on the 124th floor and At the Top Sky Deck on the 148th floor. High speed elevators take not more than 2 minutes to take you to these dizzying heights.

At the Top
There are high powered telescopes that offer a breathtaking view of the city, similar to the ones you might have seen from your Mumbai to Dubai flight. This is a sprawling observatory deck and is most crowded during twilight and sunset hours. You can enjoy “Dubai — A Falcon’s Eye View” from the 125th floor. The most thrilling experience is a virtual reality game, where the glass appears to crack beneath your feet.

Visiting during midday lets you witness the sensational Dubai Fountain and the sparkling skyline. Informative displays, tribute to the Arba Arts and Culture and the outdoor deck are other attractions of this floor.

At the Top Sky

This is the highest point of Burj Khalifa and you are literally on top of the world. This level is equipped with life size screens, where you can check multiple corners of the Emirate. You can enjoy a luxurious lounge and interactive experience with the help of a personalized guide. Mouthwatering local and multi-national cuisine, including Arabic coffee and dates, are available to savour while soaking in the incredible view from atop. The glass panels are designed specially with horizontal panels for photography.

The Burj Khalifa also has sunrise sessions, where you can visit as early as 5:30 am. Additionally, you can rent an audio guided tour in various languages, including English.

Ticket Bookings

The price of the ticket depends on the time of your visit. For example, during peak hours, the ticket cost rises by AED 75. Express Entry, Skip The Line Combo Offers and Normal Admission tickets are also available for your convenience. These also include some discounts when you shop from souvenir stores. Early morning and afternoon tickets on weekdays can help you save a few bucks.

Burj Khalifa is an iconic building and will leave you awestruck with its features. But don’t forget to board your flight from Dubai to Mumbai on time to take you back home.
