When EXPO 2020 opens its doors in Dubai in October 2020, visitors will also be welcomed to experience the three sub-themes of this exposition. One of the sub-themes is Mobility which comprises of various topics such as digital connectivity, travel & exploration, and logistics. Each theme of the Expo 2020 has a separate pavilion. These pavilions embody Mobility the theme through their distinctive constructions, programs, and activities.

What is the Mobility Pavilion’s objective?

This theme is incorporated brilliantly in the construction of the Mobility Pavilion. It will present visitors with a virtual world brimming with data. Visitors will also get to step into the city of tomorrow where visitors may be surprised to find either a robot or drone waiter serving them refreshments along the way.

How is the construction of the pavilion?

Every aspect of the Mobility Pavilion is futuristic. As soon as visitors enter this pavilion, they will be greeted by the world’s first ropeless elevator for skyscrapers. This prominent construction is simply hard to miss. Engineered by ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s, this is a pioneering system that was selected as one of the EXPO’s lighthouse projects and will be presented by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in the German Pavilion.

Designed by Foster + Partners, the Mobility Pavilion’s architecture brings to life the idea of what the future of mobility and commuting will look like. Every aspect of its design promotes the idea that these new ideas and innovations will benefit mankind.

What events will take place in the Mobility Pavilion of Expo 2020?

Events that will take place in this pavilion will all center on the theme of Mobility and include discussions and debates about the importance for why Mobility is Expo 2020’s sub-theme is so important. Visitors will also be welcomed to engage in workshops on fascinating ways to go about Mobility. The Mobility Pavilion at Expo 2020 will also host events for investors and the business community, and present opportunities to invest in early-stage technological developments.
