10 Things We Learned From Asking 1000 Women About Men’s T-Shirts

We asked a thousand women about their feelings about men’s T-Shirts. How should they fit? What should you wear on a first date? And what color T-Shirt will make you look like a superstar in the bed, read on to find out…

1: Sorry guys, there are a lot of women out there who don’t think your T-Shirts fit right. A staggering 64% of the women asked said their partner’s T-Shirts didn’t fit them well.

2: If you’re looking to impress the fairer sex with the brand of your T-Shirt, don’t bother. The 2 most important factors for women is that your T-Shirt is clean and fits well. 81% of the women asked put brand as the least important factor, sorry overly expensive rottweiler T-Shirt, you came in last!

3: If you want to come off as a guy who knows his way around the bedroom sheets, apparently wear black!

4: If you want to appear more like the literary type, wear white, or just bring a dictionary, that’ll work!

5: If you want to make a good impression on the first date keep it simple. 48% preferred their date to show up in jeans and a nice, clean T-Shirt. Coming in at second place is the T-Shirt / blazer combo with 46% of the women preferring this look.

6: Keeping within the realm of the dreaded first date, don’t wear a suit! Only 5% of the women asked preferred this as a first date outfit.

7: While wearing a suit on the first date is ill advised, it might make sense suiting up in the long run. Wearing a suit increases your husband factor considerably, coming in first when we asked what their future husband should look like.

8: When it comes to the fit the tight fitting T-Shirt is a clear winner if you want to exude that raw sexual energy. A more relaxed fit is associated with intelligence and apparently makes you good husband material as an added bonus.

9: While the loose fit comes in last in all categories, we strongly believe there is a right way and a wrong way to wear it. If you want to keep a looser fit for your T-Shirts we suggest you go for contrast by keeping the top loose and the bottom tighter. This will give you a more relaxed look while not looking schlubby.

10: O-neck or V-Neck? Again we have a clear winner, the mighty O! A clear favourite across the board of the women asked and we have to say we agree with the girls. However, the V-Neck does have a practical benefits. It is the favourable choice to wear under a dress shirt to not having the neckline peek through the neck of the dress shirt. Also, if you have a shorter torso a V-Neck will actually make you look taller and longer, well played V-Neck, well played.
