That’s funny. I could have sworn US anti-Russian sentiment was based on the Soviet Unions long history of oppressive communism and it causing the death of 100 million people. Granted, they don’t teach the horrors of the holodomor the gulag the Great Purge to students that much any more and they definitely gloss over the Mass killing under communist regimes, but the residue from the prolonged threat of such horrors let alone nuclear annihilation still effects most Americans over the age of 40 even today.

The very idea that liberals would focus more on the boogeymen of racism, xenophobia and homophobia over a system that has proven to kill far more people in a much shorter period of time speaks volumes. As many as 250 MILLION people died in the past 100 years due to Marxism/Communism. We should treat such ideology with the same revulsion as Nazism if not more since Marxists killed, tortured, experimented on and imprisoned far more.

Yet leftists still reach out to it’s radioactive glow. They should change the “No true Scotsman” fallacy to the “No true Marxist” fallacy.
