The Modern society considers Lord Shiva as Aghori and drug addicts but how this idea has formed in this society, I have come across many aghoris is my life and I always wonder why have they chosen the toughest path of the spirituality, how easy it is to become aghoris and why people scared of aghoris when they in their extreme form, well people may find Aghori sadhus extremely dangerous but the real meaning of Aghor is A-Ghor which means not Ghor, in simple term who is a very compassionate form of Lord Shiva’s or by Lord Shiva itself. In modern times the meaning has changed. Actually, they are the people who live in seclusion or close to nature while avoiding materialistic and temporary things.

People consider aghoris as meat-eaters, performing Black Magic to acquire some unusual powers but this is not the fact the real facts is something else

Shiva gave us the path of Tantra (mean process) in this path there are 5 practices

  1. Madhya

This Madhya is not Madira (Alcohol) its actual meaning is when we roll back the tip of our tongue and sit in a posture called Khechari Mudra. In this gesture Melatonin Juice is secreted from the mouth, this simulates our third eye, better known as pineal gland (in English) which will control our sleep cycles. So, the consumption of that secreted juice called Madhya. In the modern era the word Madhya got associated with liquor and alcohol but its actual meaning is consuming Melatonin hormone in its natural form which is already present inside our body, and in this process, it will help to control our sleep which is considered very important.

2. Matasya

The general metaphor represents our journey as a Fish in this cosmic ocean, mean how we can live in this world while maintaining our individuality while remaining true to our-self.

3. Maansa

Meaning of means doesn’t relate to the consumption of meat. In modern era Agoris normalizing the consumption of meat in the society but Shiva means well being of our body because we have two types body, first is a physical body and second is Antheric body which is soul {Aatma} also know as the astral body, so achieving well being of the physical body by practicing external yoga is called Maans Saadhna.

4. Maithuna

In normal stage “mool-adhara {root chakra}” our spiritual energy is dormant and in Khechari Mudra. When we perform this Mudra and simultaneously do the seven types of pranayama “breathing exercises” then our spiritual energy starts to move upwards and when this energy reaches our Brahma-Sthaan ‘crown chakra’ located in our upper most head, this union is called Maithuna. This is not sexual intercourse between males and females.

5. Mudra

The position where we can lock our energy, performed by our thumb and finger by actually joining our index finger back with a thumb like a rattlesnake in a Kundali position called Mudra

There is no proof and it’s just a misconception that Lord Shiva is a Drug Addict, Shiva itself trying to detox our Antheric (Aatma) body for the betterment of our daily life by Yogic practices

So why people consume cannibals(Ganja) in the name of Shiva?

Many things were intentionally misinterpreted by the people to justify their own addiction, all such medium is needed by the weak people who are mentally weak and came to the spiritual path and they are not able to pursue it, now this path itself becomes a misery for them to forget this misery they drink alcohol, smoke and take drugs which they call Lord Shiva’s herb but it is actually Charas, Cannabis, and Opium. Actually, the real fact is that they themselves are a drug addict and are making other drug addicts in the name of religion there is no proof I could found that Lord Shiva used such stuff and by selling drugs in the name of the religion they are making money. This is the safest way to bring drugs in society because even police and government become helpless in such matter
