Poem about Mothers

Photo by Xavier Mouton Photographie on Unsplash

Her love was extraordinary.

Her sacrifice was overwhelming.

Her kindness was reckless.

It wasn’t as big as the love of God,

But it was bigger than anyone else.

Like a best in the tough,

Like a shadow in the dark.

Like a star in the dark.

A sun giving light to children was she.

Enabling all the happen.

Though the hard of times came,

She went through the thick and thin.

She didn’t allow them to take over, she didn’t give up.

Aren’t mothers more than best?

Happy Mother’s Day to my mommy Opeoluwa Iwashokun and also all mothers out there.
