If there is one thing I have learned in Social Media Management, its that social media is a lot more complex than it appears. A lot of time and thought goes into creating premium content for specific social media channels, especially if you are a business. Today, the majority of information is spread through the internet and social media. Therefore, social media is becoming more and more of a priority for businesses to promote their brand and connect with their customers. Here are a few tips I have learned that will help immensely in your success of this course.

The assignments are released at the beginning of the week, so do them then! Some require you to watch Facebook Live videos or post on social media throughout the week, so it would be beneficial to start the assignments early. When managing you social media accounts, be creative and have fun with them. You are promoting your personal brand, so have your socials portray that. In the course, Professor Buyer recommends some social media gurus you should follow and learn from, such as Gary Vaynerchuk. Follow them! You will learn things that will help you in all social media channels as well as business advice and more. There are also interviews with these social media gurus throughout the course. Watch these and make sure you take notes from the key ideas and quotes. They will help you in the long run. Lastly, be active on all social media. This is the best way to learn and will improve your following and your personal brand!
