My Testimony
Growing up I had the best childhood that I could ever wish for. My parents took us on fun holidays, taught us from right from wrong, supported us in everything that we did and loved us unconditionally. I’m very lucky to have such a strong, close relationship with my family and am so thankful for all of their support. There were six of growing up, so there was never a dull moment. Every evening we would all eat dinner together, conversing about our day, telling jokes and enjoying each others company.
What More Could I Wish For?
I had never felt like there was something missing because I had everything I could imagine. I remember that Religious Studies was one of my favourite subjects at school. The more we learnt about Jesus and his teachings, the more I wanted to know about him. I had always known that there was something, or someone, who had created this world; everything is too detailed and perfect to have not been. I definitely feel closer to God surrounded by nature; it’s so beautiful and delicate. I had never really thought about following Jesus until I met Husband. I knew that he was a Christian, so I was curious to find out more. He told me all about the Creation Story, which I had heard before but hadn’t really thought about. He also shared his story about how came to know God, it was really interesting to listen to. I think it was at that point that I decided to give my life to Jesus. My whole outlook on life changed from that day on. It was as if everything had come into focus.
Love Conquers All
Corinthians 13:7 is my favourite Bible Verse because it talks about Love and how powerful it is: ‘Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up’. It’s good to be reminded that God loves us all; no matter how many times we mess up. He loves us for who we are, no matter how many times we fail; He is always near to help us get back up on our feet. God is so good, so great and more powerful than we can ever imagine. He is there to love us when we feel unworthy, guide us back on to the correct path when we stray, to show us there is hope when times are tough and to carry our burdens when we are weary. He is in control so that we no longer need to worry or suffer.
