Self-Love Includes Loving Others for We are One

Metaphysical Self-love

Self-love is two-fold from a metaphysical perspective. There is love for Self (your individualised being), and there is love for others because they are you too — we are all the same consciousness.

Let’s explore…

  1. Self-love for you
When we feel the energy of pure unconditional love within and for ourselves it is bliss. It has a frequency that seems to sing “all is well”. It’s nourishing and good for our nervous system and it brings us back to our truest essence — love. Notice I said feel the energy of love. It is not a human thought or a concept, it’s the actual aliveness of love. The magic is in the basking in it and radiating it.
  2. Loving others = loving self
We are all One, ultimately. We are all Divine Mind. When we condemn another we’re condemning ourselves. When we love another we are loving ourselves. This doesn’t mean we should be doormats or stay in unhealthy situations. It means that we stay love within even in the face of ‘un-love’ and thus keep our power and remain true to ourselves.

What I’m talking about here is a pure love, a true love, an unconditional love that is Divine in nature and within each and everyone of us for that is what the One ultimately is — love.

When we stop condemning (ourselves or other) we stop having resistance to what we are condemning and it’s more easily able to dissolve from our experience because, you know it, what we resist persists. And I get it, quitting the condemning whether it’s in our own heads or expressed verbally is often (much) easier said than done!

Another way to look at this is that when we are in a non-loving state towards another we are literally hurting ourselves. It’s not good for our bodies and it reduces our energy flow. It also creates more things to condemn in our experience because what we focus on manifests.

To be clear, I’m not saying deny your emotions — absolutely be compassionate to yourself and acknowledge and process how you’re feeling. Yet it doesn’t help to stay in a non-loving state, the key is to return to a loving state of awareness because that is aligned with our true nature.

The bonus: because we are all connected energetically others can subconsciously sense it and it makes them more likely to respond well to us and reflect that love back. And if they don’t, it’s ok because we have come home to our own source.

May we remember that we are Divine One, the everything, the all.
May we know more peace within and in our external realities.
May we realise Love is the most powerful force and the only truth beyond illusion.
