50 football legends are joining the NFT football magic of Sorare
Capping off what has been a historic week at Sorare, we are honoured to announce that the biggest legends in football will be joining the global fantasy football game. We have signed an exclusive NFT partnership to bring over 50 of the biggest legends in football to Sorare.
At Sorare, we’re football romantics and we’re collectors just like you. All us look back fondly on our earliest football memories and the relics we have collected that help capture a specific moment in time. The football jerseys, ticket stubs, sticker annuals, and magazine cutouts are time portals that solidify the connection we feel with football so that it is never forgotten.

Each legend card represents a historic season in the player’s career. A season that is still spoken about by fans across the world each day. A season that brought so much joy, passion to football fans around the world. In some cases our players had numerous legendary seasons worthy of a card. So expect to see a Ronaldo Nazário PSV and Barcelona card, and more!
Please note that for supply, we will mint 1,111 versions of each Legend’s season card. So there will be 1,111 PSV Ronaldo cards, and 1,111 Barcelona cards.
We worked with the production company Kosmos Studios to produce a series of exclusive interviews with the legends so that they can talk about their historic seasons and what having their new cards to remember these moments means to them.
Will these cards have utility?
Of course! NFT cards with utility have unlocked the immense potential of the groundbreaking technology. More importantly, we wanted our community to experience the football connection that only NFT fantasy can bring with the players they grew up watching.
How will the Legends score?
Once a month as part of a Special Weekly event, Legends will take the score of the highest scoring player of their club in their position. So for example, Ronaldo Nazario PSV’s card, will take the highest scoring PSV forward’s score for that Game Week.
Utility for Legends cards with National team jerseys:
Let’s take the example of a Michel Platini national team edition card. During club Game Weeks, Platini will take the score of the best scoring midfielder at the club he was at during the season on the card (Juventus)
During international Game Weeks, Platini will take the score of the best scoring midfielder in the France national team. These rules only apply to Legends wearing their national team kit. For example, the Ronaldo PSV card will not score during International Game Weeks.
Legend Special Weeklys
Once a month, we will have a Legends Special Weekly where Legends cards can be used. For these events we plan to include special prizes. We will have more details on this soon. Legends cards cannot be used in the Global or Regional tournaments. It’s strictly Special Weeklys in the current format.
Future Game Modes
We are also exploring our vision for Legends utility in other new and unannounced game modes so that we can unlock the legend and magic of these iconic cards.
How do I get Legends cards?
A new Legend will drop every Thursday.
