Thiago Alcantara, Andrea Pirlo, Klaas Jan-Huntelaar… What do these stars have in common?
Before they were household names, they all bossed the Euro U21 Championship as their nation lifted the trophy, kickstarting long, successful careers at the highest level.
The Euro U21 Championship is one of the best tournaments to scout future legends of the game. Sorare is one of the best platforms for rewarding eagle-eyed scouts in competitions they haven’t really explored in the past. For our international break community event, we wanted to harness the potential of Sorare and the U21 Euros to scout the next big talents. We want to encourage our Managers to work together to discover future legends of the game.
Here’s how the Sorare Euro U21 Challenge works:
On Discord in the #future-legends-XI channel, we have posted a list of all Sorare players who are participating in the Euro U21 Championship. Your goal as a community is to create the Sorare Euro U21 Best XI. The group of players you believe will score the most points during the three games in the Euro U21 Group Stage.
Using Discord reactions (thumbs up), you will vote for which player you would like to see in the Future Legends XI. The highest votes for each position will be selected. We’re going with a 3–4–3: 1 Goalkeeper, 3 Defenders, 4 Midfielders, and 3 Forwards. The single player with the highest votes will be named Team Captain and receive Double Points.
After each Group Stage Matchday, Dan and Carl from the Sorare team will calculate the team’s score manually (based on a scoring system detailed below).
So what’s your objective?
To ensure the Future Legends XI scores above 60 pts in each of the 3 Group Stage Matchdays.
For each Group Stage Matchday where your Future Legends XI team scores above 60pts you will earn 1000 XP.
So for example, if the Future Legends XI team hits the threshold for 2 of the 3 Matchdays, 2000XP will be rewarded to a card in your collection.
XP Points Reward
The XP points will be given out at the end of the event. The accumulated XP points will be assigned to the last card you purchased from the primary or secondary market.
You will only qualify for the XP reward if you have logged in to Sorare on each of the Group Stage Matchdays:

To make it easy to calculate scores manually, here is the scoring system we’re going to use:
- Player starts = 2 pts
- Player subs in = 1 pt
- Forward scores a goal = 4 pts
- Midfielder scores a goal = 5 pts
- Defender / GK scores a goal = 6 pts
- Defender / GK gets a clean sheet = 4 pts
- Player gets an assist = 3 pts
- Player gets a yellow card = -1 pt
- Player gets a red card = -3 pts
- Player scores an own goal = -2 pts
- Captain points = x2

The player voting will open on Friday 18:00 UTC and will close on Monday at 12pm UTC. You have the weekend to scout the players and make your votes! The names will be listed in the #Euro21Voting channel on Discord. Use the Thumbs Up reaction below each player to vote for them.
