You are what you eat (especially when traveling)
so plan ahead to stay fabulous

Being a nomadic entrepreneur who spends a lot of time going to and from an airport, waiting in airports, sitting in planes, and scheduling trips, one of my major concerns is always around what am I going to eat and snack on.
I envision a world one day where Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Nature Emporiums, Mrs. Greens, and any other health food store sets up shop next to the duty-free section of the airport where you can get gluten-free, no sugar, no preservatives, whole foods as easily as you can get a magazine and M&Ms.
Sigh, but for now, I will have to do with being extremely thankful that security lets you bring food past the scanners and right onto the plane. Yay!
It’s dangerous for me when I do not bring food.
The inner child in me decides to take control and, without even realizing it, I am in line ordering a greasy cheese melt, salty chips, an ice cream shake, and fries (don’t judge).
There is something about going on a trip that my internal self screams joyously, “Road Trip!” and decided to eat like Cookie Monster.
It’s not a pretty scene and the immediate yummy gratification creates havoc on (and in) my body. I typically get really bloated and uncomfortable, break out, feel a bit under the weather, and get extremely tired and cloudy.
I don’t recommend trying to write a blog post or launching a program while this is occurring.
Sister, I don’t want this to happen to you. I desire for you to feel energized, focused, clear, comfortable and radiant while you are traveling, playing, and working.
Here are my favorite snacks to bring on your next travel adventure:
Mary’s Crackers
Personal size hummus or homemade hummus
Babaganush
Hard-boiled egg
Freeze-dried fruit
Dark chocolate
Cheese
Kale Chips
Chia pudding
Rice & Seaweed
Quinoa Fried Rice (think fried rice with an egg and veggies but replacing rice with quinoa)
Blueberries
Banana
Salad with nuts, seeds, dried cranberries
Lemon (for your water)
An empty water bottle (to avoid having to buy $5 bottles of water)
