You make some pretty amazing accusations here. To say that if your family wasn’t an activist that you are related to either a racist or someone who couldn’t care less is ridiculous. On top of that, to continue to shame white people growing up today for the mistakes that “some” of their ancestors made is equally as ridiculous. White people today can’t change when they were born. They can’t affect the past. They can only affect the future, and singing along is much better IMO than being a bystander. Just because a “caucasian” can’t empathize, doesn’t mean they can’t work to understand, and understanding comes easiest when you get in the mix and expand your horizons.
