Coffee plays a very important role in making recipes for enema. Coffee plays a very relevant role in detoxification; it is a proven fact, and people have been using this with enemas from ages. As we know, enema is one of the oldest method used to make our body function well.

Coffee is a very famous and highly used beverage all over the world. Nevertheless, when we talk of coffee with context to enema, it sounds different and most of us have no knowledge of its significance.

No one actually knows when the first enema bag was filled with this bean. However, what is known is that coffee enema came into practice around 1917 and this fact was found in the famous Merck Manual. Moreover, German scientists discovered that a caffeine solution can stimulate the production of bile in the liver and could open the bile ducts, and this was tested on animals.

A famous doctor, Max Gerson, was the first person to use coffee enema clinically as a great detoxification agent. He discovered that caffeine was very good for liver problems.

It was also effective in pain relief without the side effects of analgesics.

He also discovered that coffee enema played an important role in paradoxical calming. However, while this treatment is good for constipation, he warned that coffee enema is not given for the improvement of the intestines; instead it is for the stimulation of the liver.

This type of enema got very famous for its use in cancer therapy in 1930’s and Dr. Max Gerson was discovering more facts on how it could be healthy for cancer patient as it was for liver and gall bladder problems.
