Sleeping at Night

By Soully Pants

I hope to put my soul into rest.
After an exhausting battle,
With fresh wounds deeply cut,
I search to find a haven I could relax.

Through the valleys and deep seas,
Hearing the unwavering sound of the breeze,
The whispering of the crickets,
I lounge my spirit without any attempt.

I closed my eyes and there my psyche,
Wandering in the darkness filled with illustrious lights.
I saw my dreams and said, "They do come true."
But I saw my lusts and called it a nightmare too.

I hope to put my soul into rest.
In the mean time, in the night where my psyche goes to chess.
I wake in the morning, again, feeling alive,
Striving for survival, trying all my might.
