The joy of the Lord is our strength!

As I was driving to work this morning, I pictured Jesus surrounded by bursting light, coming over the mountain in all His splendour and glory! It was a brilliant light, one that warms from within and brings an inexpressible joy and comfort!

Psalm 23 popped into my mind: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” … And this particular verse (v4) stood out: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

I was suddenly overjoyed with the idea that being in love with God provides such strength, such hope, such comfort! Though we live in a difficult time and the world is hurting, the world will come to know the great joy and comfort Jesus brings when they see Him in all His glory!
