Puddle Pirates

Teaching kids about bathroom success.

Today the family ministry at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary annouced a new book titled, Puddle Pirates: Taking the “Argh” Out of Bathroom Training.”

This book aims at reaching busy parents who have forgotten the imperative of teaching children how to use the bathroom with dignity and succcess. As we approach a rapidly changing culture, we can no longer be sure that bathroom skills will be taught in schools and society in our country. Dr. Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, says, “He hopes to see this book used to fight the rise of puddle piracy, which is ruining our children’s clothing and putting an increasing laundry burden on evangelical parents everywhere.”

Dr. Hamilton, professor of biblical theology, who is no stranger to young children, admits that he wishes that resources like this one had been available in the early days when and his wife faced the puddle wars of his toddlers.

This book’s release comes at no better time, then. Indeed, we face the uncertain days of bathroom advocacy in evangelical circles but as we seek to hold back the coming flood of puddles in our toddler’s development, we can only pray for success.
