Prostitution is considered by many a “victimless crime”. Anyone who agrees should come to our community and ask the women how they feel when they are solicited for prostitution while walking down our streets. This is a scary traumatizing experience for most of them, and “male customers” feel free to do this because our community is known for its high prostitution rate and little if any enforcement. Usually, after being accosted by the “male customers” while walking down our streets, once they get to a bus stop, they must share it with persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In these cases, the victims are not the prostitutes, pimps, male customers or traffickers, it’s the women in our community.
