Miles before I rest

And if the glary hills so steep,
Might bend its mighty crest,
I must take up a dreadful walk,
Miles before I rest.

Let me not think where i must go,
No terrain take me best,
I'll humbly sing a calming song,
Miles before i rest.

The snow caped boots i set foot on,
Might snub my soul with jest,
I must complete the journey still,
Miles before I rest.

For victory too might question me,
What force had kept my quest,
I must answer while trekking high,
Miles before I rest.
