Some believe that developing applications for smartphones and tablets are incredibly complex, but we already demythologize this. Now we will teach you how to do it using AppMakr, a tool that works in the browser itself and allows the creation of applications that concentrate features by pulling content from sources such as Facebook, news RSS, YouTube channel links, among others.

There are numerous functions available that include contact schedule and photo gallery, as well as push notifications and location services. The interface is very customizable and allows you to work with imported colours and images, instruction videos and intuitive development.

AppMakr is free for app development and features ads that can be removed by hiring one of the plans that add more features to the tool. With it, the user can develop solutions for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

When completed, the tool allows pre-visualization of the application on the computer screen and already makes it available to the Android system from a store called Monkey Market. However, for the Google Play, Apple Store, and Windows Phone store publishers, costs are charged as explained by a site guide.

Let’s go step by step:

1. Creating the project and validating your data

This is the home screen. In it, you’ll provide the title of your app and create it by clicking the blue “Create” button. Then you will need to validate with a registration that can be integrated with Google Account, Facebook, Yahoo or Twitter.

2. Defining the app’s look

After the first step, begin the hand in the mass. In the screen below, you can start to customize the look of the app a banner at the top, background colours, icon style, etc. As you select the changes, they will appear in real-time on the screen.

Note that the video help is always at the top right.

3. Defining the app’s functions

After defining the look of your app, you can select the functions of it. They will appear as icons in the bar on the left of the screen. Each image needs to be dragged to the app screen and set at the bottom right of the video help.

You can configure from the visual to the external links that the app will use.

At any time you can view your app’s changes and see how it’s getting on the screen. Note that it is saved automatically.

4. Conference and validation

Once all the icons have been chosen and configured, the conference and validation phase comes, which has 10 steps.

These are as follows:

  1. Review app name and URL;
  2. Choose the domain of the app URL. Here there are numerous options like theapp.mobi, studentsapp.mobi and staffap.mob
  3. Review / replace app icon;
  4. Brief description of up to 1000 characters that will be visible in Android and Apple stores. The beginning of the description must be in English;
  5. Welcome message to your users;
  6. Space to include that section “More Info” that exists in the applications;
  7. To be found more easily, abuse the tags;
  8. Choose a category for the stores: music, books, social, business, etc;
  9. Enter your contact information;
  10. Regionalization of the app, describe the continent, country, state and zip code of the application’s focus, as well as the gender of the users.

5. Finishing the app

Having made this final review, it’s time to finish. In the screen below you will find the publishing options of your app.

The first option is free, but is only compatible with the Android system and comes with advertising banners that do not obstruct the use. The second option costs $ 1 monthly and guarantees the removal of the banners. Both options are for Android and publish the app instantly, though, in AppMakr’s own store — which requires authorization to install third-party applications in system configurations.

The penultimate option costs $ 9 per month and includes the Apple Store and Google Play. The fourth option, in addition to allowing publication in official stores, offers the possibility of application charge and publication control under a single fee of $ 99. Despite the value, there is still the possibility of charging for development by Apple and Google.

The tip is to do the free, see the result and choose which path to follow later. Changes and updates are unlimited for all cases. Shortly after completion of development, the app will be available on AppMakr’s MonkeyMarket. Easy, is not it?
