Wordpress was ready for the primetime years ago.

It’s the developers that weren’t.

I get a lot of clients asking me if Wordpress is “robust enough” or “ready for the primetime” or “mature enough”. I’m sick of it. The fact is, Wordpress has been “mature enough” for years — the problem is lots of people are doing it wrong.

I’ve been using Wordpress for years. We’ve built websites for countless clients using it: including Dr Marten’s, Rizla, Levi’s, Bulmers, Tiger, UKTI.

We’ve built API driven backends to mobile apps (iOS, Android and Blackberry) for Bulmers, Playstation, Microsoft, Tiger… gah, you get the drift.

The fact is, as a framework, Wordpress has been mature enough for years — the only reason people ask questions like this is because the rest of the development community is catching up.
