The Truth About Single Payer

So Democrats are trying to sell you on single payer. They say it will solve all the problems we are having with healthcare. They say it will save money. They say healthcare is a right. Here is what they won’t tell you.

Bernie Sanders has a plan he has proposed. His cost numbers are vastly lower than what most project single payer to cost… but we will run with it because he is the only one to really put out a detailed account for how single payer will be funded.

Bernie wants to add a payroll tax. 2.2% for employees and 6.2% for employers. Sound reasonable? The average person making 50k would end up paying $1100 for coverage. That is great! But here is what nobody is talking about… that 6.2% employer tax. For small business owners that could literally put them under. The average small business has around 7 employees and a payroll of around 250k. That is $15,500 more in annual expenses. For a small business just getting started or just getting by… that could be the end of them.

Do Democrats hate small business owners? It seems that way. They act like the average small business owner isn’t middle class. They act like every business is a huge corporation that has disposable profit. Adding a 6.2% payroll tax could kill job creation and explode unemployment. Guess what happens to single payer if nobody has a job to pay the tax…

If you are a small business owner and you vote for Democrats… you literally could be voting your own business to go under.
