SpaceChain Weekly Report (Aug 27 to Sept 2)

Check our latest update on technology and happenings in the community.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

● SpaceChain has adopted a dual token model — ERC-20 and Qtum Standard Token (QRC-20) — to expand our footprint and engage with additional communities of developers. The QRC-20 SPC token and ERC-20 SPC token have a 1:1 swap exchange rate.

The token supply that will be circulating will remain at 1,000,000,000 SPC. The QRC-20 SPC tokens and ERC-20 SPC tokens will remain interchangeable through authorized wallet services.

We will be carrying out the official swap exchange in September. Please stay tuned to our official channels for updates.

TECHNICAL PROGRESS

Blockchain node in space

While working on transmitting orbital data to our three boards, we’ve found an irregularity in SpaceNode-003. It turns out there was an issue with the nandflash hardware and insufficient storage space. After we identified the issue, we are now in the process of procuring new hardware. The other two boards have been tested and delivered, and are ready for the environmental test phase. We have a clear quality control process and a complete quality control system to ensure functionality and reliability of the product. In future development processes, we’ll continue to implement this type of system to identify similar risks.

Organizing of project files + the development manual

Over the course of this blockchain node project, we’ve amassed a large amount of documentation and various versions of software during the development process. We’ve in the process of filing and sorting project files and the development manual. We hope that the well documented code versioning will aid developers in identifying issues in the future if necessary.

SpaceChain hardware

The H3 hardware all-node wallet based on the SpaceChain OS has entered the next improvement stage this week. We have been working on finalizing the transfer function, improving the interface, and general debugging. In addition the process of revising the tutorial documents and code has begun. We want to illustrate all of the hardware and system clearly to assist developers and get them up to speed quickly.
