Success is measured in small steps

Nobody knows how to get a business built. I think that most entrepreneurs have an idea of where we want to go, or what defines success, but the roadmap of how we are going to get there is never known. They have an idea of a starting point and a destination.

The starting point is a complex one. The blank page is intimidating, but it is the first hurdle of getting started on an idea and establishing a set of actions that will lead the project toward success.

Success is only a step forward. And for every action taken, we will know better what to do on the next step. At our company, we rarely know what we want to do next until we have a product launch and have another ah-ha moment.

There are many different ways to build your business with no defined order of how to get things done. There is no correct way to develop your company. Success is getting things done and moving forward — taking an action that moves you towards earning the next dollar.

Much of the advice you are given on what you should do can be thrown out. Genuinely unique products are never previously defined, so as you start your business think about the next action you need to take to move you one step closer to where you want to go.
