Crowns, Championships, and Controversies: Inside WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring”
Hey, wrestling fans! It’s your guy Nwo Sparrow here with my opinions on the WWE King and Queen of the Ring event from Jeddah. Let’s dive into the matches and scores, and I’ll give you my take on the night.
1) Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill def. Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae — 4/10
The show kicked off with a tag team match featuring Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill taking on Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. This match had some solid moments, especially with Bianca and Jade showing off their power moves. However, it didn’t quite hit the mark overall. The chemistry wasn’t quite there, and the crowd didn’t seem as into it as they could have been.
2) Liv Morgan def. Becky Lynch (Women’s Championship) — 6/10
Next up was Liv Morgan defending her Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch. This match had a lot of hype, and both women delivered. Liv’s resilience was on full display, and she managed to score a surprising victory over Becky. The action was good, but it felt like it could have been even more intense given the stakes.
3) Sami Zayn def. Bronson Reed & Chad Gable — 8/10
The triple threat match with Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed, and Chad Gable was a highlight of the night. These three put on a fantastic show, with non-stop action and some incredible spots. Sami Zayn came out on top, which was a crowd-pleaser. This match kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
4) Nia Jax def. Lyra Valkyria (Queen of the Ring) — 4/10
The Queen of the Ring final between Nia Jax and Lyra Valkyria was a bit of a letdown. Nia dominated most of the match, and while Lyra had a few good moments, it wasn’t enough to make the match truly memorable. The predictable outcome didn’t help either.
5) Gunther def. Randy Orton (King of the Ring) — 6/10
Gunther and Randy Orton faced off for the King of the Ring title. This match had some great storytelling, with Orton’s experience pitted against Gunther’s raw power. The match itself was solid, but the predictability of Gunther’s win took away some of the excitement. Still, both men put in a good effort.
6) Cody Rhodes def. Logan Paul (Undisputed Heavyweight Championship) — 7/10
The main event saw Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul. Cody and Logan had great chemistry, and the match was filled with high drama and intense moments. Cody ultimately retained his title, but not without a hard-fought battle. Logan showed he could hang with the best, which made this match a fun watch.
Overall Event Score: 5.8/10
The King and Queen of the Ring event had its highs and lows. It was fun and intense at times, but the predictability of some matches took away from the overall excitement. The most unpredictable match was the men’s King of the Ring, but even that had a sense of inevitability once Triple H announced the winner would challenge the champion on their respective brand. Gunther’s win was kind of a given after that.
All in all, it was a decent show with some standout moments, but it could have used a bit more unpredictability to keep the energy high throughout.
