The Fundamental “Why” of Music Discovery

I live in Brazil (I’m an American), where the attitude towards music is far from that in the United States or Europe. Music here is not something for teenagers to slowly abandon as they grow into adult lives…it’s a lifelong part…of life…and this thing about slicing it into generational periods only applies to people into music from elsewhere.

As for discovery, there’s nothing like word-of-mouth, and there’s no reason not to utilize common technology in order to produce an uncommon result: the potential discovery of musicians wherever they are, whether they be known to any degree, or complete unknowns (this of course having no bearing on their talent and artistry)…
