2021 year was characterized by large scale changes as well as growth in field of technology and this trend will be continuing this year as well.Following are the 5 major technological trends to observe this year:

1) Low Code and No Code AI Editors

Low code AI Editors like OpenAI Codex and Github Copilot etc. was one of the major developments in the field of artificial intelligence this year, these code editors will be useful for programmers and software engineers as they will reduce the time wasted in trivial programming tasks which will give programmers more time to work on high level tasks thus saving time and improving efficiency.

2) The MetaVerse

Although virtual reality and augmented reality have been there for the past few years, past year saw massive interest and investment from companies like Facebook(now Meta) which are now more readily working to employ this technology to give people the maximum experience of this virtual world. So,in 2022 the MetaVerse is going to be one of the central areas of work for several tech companies.

3) Deep Learning based Language Models

AI Powered Autoregressive language generation models like GPT 3 are going to play a major role in content creation as well as content marketing. Such NLP services are going to largely grow throughout this year making content creation a lot easier and quicker.

4) Robotics

The field of Robotics will also be an area witnessing several leaps this year as well,like it had been since the past few years. Companies like Boston Dynamics are continuously working upon developing robots to assist us in more activities thus making automation more efficient and applicable.

5) Data Science

The field of data science will continue its past year trend of growth as more and more companies becoming aware of the need of harnessing the potential of their data and are trying to be more data driven,the number of businesses and companies using data science for variety of purposes like sentiment analysis, customer churn,sales analytics,product design etc. will largely increase, owing to the growing data literacy.
