I think the author’s continued success with taking credit for something he didn’t create (the “hashtag”) perhaps paradoxically buttresses his argument that self-promotion is what “the future” of employment might look like. The recent American presidential race is another.
This is great work, and thanks for doing it. Really.
But this comment really underscores the problem. Trying to “save” developers from user-land dependencies is missing the point completely. I really hope that this is just a rhetorical error and this is not coming from some real anti-user-land dependency beliefs.
