HRD Minister reopens JEE Main 2020 application form process, Here’s how to apply

JEE Main 2020 application forms re-open, apply till May 24 at jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in. Those who could not fill the application form earlier can also apply.

Due to coronavirus outbreak, several students who were forced to drop their plan to study abroad will now be allowed to apply for the JEE Main once again. The HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has opened the application submission form for JEE Main 2020. He had earlier today tweeted, “Want to write JEE(Main). Students who have dropped the idea to study abroad and are now keen to study in India. A major announcement is coming your way! Stay tuned for more details.”

The form submission deadline is May 24, 5 pm and fee payment deadline is May 24, 11:50 pm.

JEE Main 2020: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the application form button
Step 3: Click on the way you wish to apply

Step 4: Register if not applied before using credentials
Step 5: Verify and create log-in
Step 6: Fill form, upload images
Step 7: Make payment, submit form

JEE Main 2020: Application fee

The application fee is Rs 650. For female candidates, the same is Rs 325. For Sc, ST, PwD and transgender category the fee is Rs 325. Those who wish to appear for both papers will have to submit Rs 13000. For reserved category candidates and females, the same is Rs 650.

JEE Main 2020 will be held between July 18 and July 23. Through JEE Main, candidates will be allowed to seek admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes in Indian institutes including NITs. JEE Main is also the first step towards JEE Advanced — entrance exam for IITs.
