The 2021 ICSE Class 10 Biology examination was held with a revised test format and reduced syllabus.

The exam paper had MCQs questions. The difficulty level was easy to moderate based on the feedback of the students who appeared for the exam. ICSE Answer Key 2021–22 for Class 10 Biology (Semester 1) has been put together by a team of experienced teachers and coordinators.

Checking the answer keys will help the students in estimating their scores and performance.

ICSE Class 10 Biology Semester 1 results 2021–22 are expected to be officially released by the board in the last week of December 2021.

The answer key is specially curated by the teachers who have many years of experience in their respective fields.

ICSE Class 10 Mathematics Semester 1 2021–22: Question Paper- General Instructions:

  • The Question Paper contained three sections.
  • The Question Paper consisted of 40 MCQs.
  • Students were required to answer all the questions. No choices were given in the paper.
  • Section A carried 15 marks.
  • Section B carried 15 marks.
  • Section C carried 10 marks.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • Maximum Marks: 40
  • Time Allowed: 90 Minutes

ICSE Class 10 Biology Exam Key Analysis 2021:

  • The difficulty level of the paper was moderate as stated by the students who attempted the exam.
  • They further shared that they did not face much difficulty solving the question paper due to the specimen paper released by the council earlier.
  • The questions were strictly from the mentioned syllabus and nothing was asked out of the syllabus.
  • Questions based on Geometry were marginally tricky and required students to draw figures to solve them better.
  • The Biology Question Paper was divided into three sections, each carrying different marks. Section I had a total of 8 objective type questions, each question carrying 5 marks. Section II had a total of 7 diagram-based questions, each question carrying 10 marks. Students were given a choice to answer any 4 out of these 7 questions.
  • Most individual questions were of 1 mark. Students had 4 options in every question, out of which, the correct one had to be chosen.
  • Chapter ‘Reproductive System’ had the maximum weightage of 13 marks, followed by the chapters ‘Pollution’ (10 marks), ‘Nervous System’ (9 marks) and ‘Chemical Coordination in Plants’ (9 marks)
  • Questions in Section A were easy and were asked straight from the ICSE textbook.
  • Questions in Section B were mostly diagram-based that covered the practical portions of the chapters.
