Shoot For The Moon

A great writer once said,

Shoot for the moon,

And you’ll land in the stars,

So I shot for your heart,

And landed in your arms

But not in the way

That one might think,

More in the way,

That blind men drink

At first for the taste,

Then comes the sorrow,

And then they fall,

With no hope for tomorrow

Into your arms,

Back in the stars,

The moon, now a glimpse,

Of what could have been ours.
