The exit polls come from PDFs downloaded from CNN, right after they published the first exit polls (right after the poll places close). I included the first pages of the PDFs in a clickable hyperlink below the table I cited, so you can double-check the data. I have the full PDFs downloaded if you are interested in seeing them.

I also checked each exit poll I could find with tweets from fivethirtyeight.com and an election-tracking Twitter user to verify that the exit polls were correct, and in each instance, they were.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s quote was more to introduce the section, because all of the points he raises I’ve found research to support. Thus, I included his quote so I wouldn’t have to spend five paragraphs saying the same claims he did in one.
