Have you read Ben Thompson’s similarly titled piece that dives a bit more into the philosophical conundrum facing Twitter?
Ultimately, though, [Twitter and Facebook] are competing for the same scarce resource: attention
Twitter doesn’t need to be as “big” as Facebook, but it does need to prove itself (continually, it seems) as “successful”, whatever that means. For many, it means being worthy of as much attention.
I’d love to read your thoughts on Thompson’s piece, if you have time. ☺️
