The DAO has been fortunate to find 4 community members who have been involved prior to the November 21, 2021 Christie’s auction and taken responsibility for helping lead strategy, community and communications since.
Proposal Summary
Governance Proposal #1 will formally elect 4 community members as the core team to deliver 5 specific achievements in Q1.
Introducing The Core Team:
Charlie Fang — Strategy Lead & Treasurer
Charlie has been a contributing member in crypto for over a decade and is currently serving as the leader of NFT art collective Remilia Collective. Charlie co-founded Spice DAO with Soby and Yojimbo King and is a multisig signer. He was essential in the project’s conceptualization and launch.
Kortelin — Operations Lead
Kortelin has been contributing to the Ethereum ecosystem since February 2021 by brokering sales of blue-chip NFTs to high-net-worth collectors. They worked as Product Manager on StarChant and Project Manager of PegzDAO; consulted with POAP on their communications strategy and Raid Guild DAO on business development. DeFi trader, yield farmer and liquidity provider on DEXs. Bitcoin Class of 2013. Kortelin’s experience with DAO’s was instrumental in the structure and setup of Spice DAO’s governance system.
Yojimbo_King — Marketing Lead
Yojimbo_King is a long-time member of the crypto community and an early NFT adopter. He co-founded Spice DAO with Soby and Charlie Fang and is a multisig signer, and has been involved as a conceptual director and advisor for multiple NFT projects and has hosted NFT-focused events.
Michael Dragovic — Community Manager
Michael has been involved in the crypto community for over three years working as a Community Manager and social media marketer for the NFT project Milady Maker, and has taken a leadership role in the community’s direction since its inception.
Q1 Deliverables
The core team will deliver the following achievements between January — March 2022:
- Gain physical custody of Jodorowsky’s Dune book by arranging shipping and storage
- Digitally scan each page of the book for preservation
- Contract a social media agency to produce PR/marketing to disseminate our mission, goals and achievements across all channels
- Present a film treatment and budget by Roble Ridge Productions for the original animated limited series inspired by the book for a community vote on Snapshot
- Develop proposals from the community on Discourse and escalate to Snapshot for vote and implementation
