Who Done It?

The call came from inside the house. A senior official in the White House penned an anonymous op-ed in the New York Times to let America know that there are “adults in the room” who have discussed the 25th amendment but they’re not going to proceed because it would start a constitutional crisis. The author squeezed in some conservative talking points in an attempt to take the heat off of the Republicans and plug the GOP brand so people will continue to vote for the brand and forget all about their role in enabling a tyrant. The author blamed the American people for letting Trump happen, for tribalism, and for the lack of civility. Bullshit. The Republicans did that.
Who wrote it?
We know for sure it wasn’t Congress. The Republicans are holding Trump up, wiping his chin, and guiding his hand so he can sign stuff.
Pence came right out and said it wasn’t him.
Col. Mustard, in the library, with the laptop.
The Butler did it.
Deep State Throat.
Obama.
Hillary.
A 600 pound guy sitting on his bed in his basement.
Mike Pence? He’s the only person who uses the word, “lodestar.”
Kellyanne Conway? She would use the word “lodestar” to frame Pence.
Pence’s mother. She wants him home by 6.
Republican hypocrite fun fact: Senator Bob Corker isn’t worried about the anonymous op-ed. He’s not alarmed or surprised. He’s known it all along. Senator Corker, don’t leave yet. It’s you’re turn to wipe Trump’s chin and straighten his tie.
The “#NotMe movement has begun.
Meanwhile on Fox News, Sarah Huckabee Sanders says, “It’s hard to argue with the fact that this president has had the most successful two first years of any president in modern history.” Sarah doesn’t get to wipe Trump’s chin. She has to wipe his butt AND tell him how great he is.
Trump is a paranoid, frantic, screaming lunatic, thinking that everybody is out to get him, wanting to fire everybody except his family.
Trump said the New York Times would be nothing without him. The New York Times has been publishing for 167 years.
Trump implied that the author of the op-ed should be executed for treason.
In the middle of the night Trump thanked a dictator in a tweet: “Kim Jong Un of North Korea proclaims ‘unwavering faith in President Trump.’ Thank you to Chairman Kim. We will get it done together!”
What else happened yesterday? Brett Kavanaugh wouldn’t answer questions at his confirmation hearing because they were all hypothetical. Senator Dick Durbin asked if he would ask Republicans to stop the concealment and make his full record public for the American people and he said he wouldn’t. When Senator Kamala Harris asked if he had ever discussed the Mueller investigation with anyone at the Kasowitz Benson Torres law firm, Kavanaugh hemmed and hawed, scratched his head, and looked confused until Kamala Harris said, “I think you’re thinking of someone and you don’t want to tell us.”
The Republicans control all three branches of government. They have not only not held a single emergency meeting on what to do about Trump, but they have not acted in any way as gatekeepers or stewards of our democracy. This whole chapter in history could have been averted if the Republicans had insisted on seeing Trump’s tax returns. This is on them.
The Republicans did it.

Call members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to say “Stop the Hearing!” on Brett Kavanaugh. Call Chuck Grassley’s office twice.
