General Manager — Austin

The beating heart of Spin is in the city teams, each led by a General Manager. You will make ubiquitous bikesharing — where anyone can pick up and drop off bikes anywhere — a reality. 
 
 As the leader of Spin in each city, you are responsible for developing the market from top to bottom — operations, marketing, rider experience, local political engagement and PR.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the market P&L
  • Lead the team in growing ridership and revenue
  • Manage build-out, deployment, ongoing maintenance, and quality of supply (i.e. thousands of bicycles)
  • Optimize local supply (bicycles) and demand (ridership)
  • Scale and develop our team of operations associates and marketers
  • Grow ridership through effective local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns
  • Develop key partnerships with local businesses
  • Represent Spin at local events and with local PR
  • Manage local politics and regulatory concerns
  • Closely work HQ to deliver better better products and processes
  • Share your best practices to help scale our other cities

What you need to have

  • You are the CEO of your market
  • Creative and data-driven mindset, with a “done at all costs” attitude
  • No problems whatsoever with literally and figuratively getting your hands dirty

Operations and Logistics Associate

The Operations and Logistics Associate is one of the most important roles at Spin. You will be responsible ensuring our cities run smoothly and build an experience our riders love. This role is based at our headquarters in San Francisco.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and run processes to ensure that our riders are always minutes away from a legally parked bike
  • Prioritize and close rider issues
  • Engage local businesses and partners to help grow the Spin brand
  • Proactively think about new features to improve the rider experience
  • Analyze and recommend strategies to increase efficiency of Spin operations

What you need to have

  • Prioritizing, planning, and executing simultaneous projects and activities
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • An all-hands-on-deck attitude and the willingness to be “in the trenches” working with the rest of our team
  • Work well under pressure and seizes the initiative
  • Naturally curious with an appetite to work in a high paced, fast growing startup environment
  • The ability and desire to work later shifts
  • Stays ahead of trends and always wants to learn
  • A degree in economics, finance, engineering or similar field
  • Based in San Francisco, but willing to travel

Mobile Product Engineer

At Spin, we’re connecting people with transport by building the largest IOT network in the wild. As a product engineer on our mobile team, you’ll be pushing the boundaries of iOS and Android development. You’ll work with technologies in the extended mobile ecosystem — from Bluetooth LE beacons to wearables.

Your responsibilities

  • Build new features on our iOS and/or Android apps
  • Work with designers to bring delightful interfaces to life
  • Ship high quality code — while destroying bugs
  • Always looking to improve the code base through continuous integration, automated testing, and code reviews
  • Be the technical thought leader on the team

Spin is looking for an energetic Marketing Associate to help introduce our brand to the world. You will help launch our cities and drive both our nation-wide and local marketing efforts. This position is at our headquarters in San Francisco.

Your responsibilities
