Kaadu Paapa

What is life if we don’t give back to the Earth?

When we are children, we are thralled when we see lush green forests, vast blue rivers and oceans and sometimes even wonder “How did someone create these? Who created these?” and any answer we get directed towards “God”.

Hmm, nice.. So, God created all these things. He made Humans, Animals, Birds, Trees, Oceans and what not. Isn’t it amazing? We savor all the benefits we get from Mother Earth. Sometimes we are thankful that we are blessed with all we need and sometimes we just take them for granted.

Oh, there is a problem! Our Mother Earth is depleting!

Why are our resources depleting now? Why are the glaciers melting? Why are we fighting for water? Why are some animals growing extinct? This is really scary!

Now when we think about it, isn’t it that this depletion is caused because of us? Because we think that Mother Earth is dedicatedly serving us and that we are her sole owners!?

We take away a lot more than we need from nature and never bother giving anything back for its growth and never even think that we are all ruining the nature for the coming generation.

Yesterday (8th September, 2018), in one of BOSCH’s CSR event called “Kadoo Paapa”, I met a group of enthusiasts led by Mr. B V Gundappa from Nagavalli Village, Tumkur district, Karnataka who are striving hard to save one species of animals, “The Kaadu Paapa” (Slender Loris). They have studied the animal and its habitat in depth and are bringing in people to save its existence.

(Find more about Slender Loris here:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slender_loris)

How many people know about the existence of an animal called Slender Loris? And why are these people worried about this one creature? Why are they spending all their free time (which they could rather use to relax and enjoy themselves) in creating awareness about Slender Loris?

They said “We are proud that we are the first set of people who are ambitiously working towards this cause. Kaadu Paapa is an asset of this district and we want to conserve its existence and habitat”.

They call their project as “Aavasa”. They believe that it is important to induce the good habits in children so that they are carved out graciously to be responsible citizens and take up self driven initiatives to save earth by saving water and trees, striving to breathe clean air and conserving animals and their habitat so that they do not grow extinct. Hence, they invite school teachers and volunteers to give them information about Slender Loris and also train them to get children interested in these more important topics through fun filled activities.

Indeed their efforts haven’t gone in vain. There are a lot more people who are now interested to join hands and move ahead to save Kaadu Paapa and also our Mother Earth. “BOSCH” and “Kaadu” are the organizations who have now extended their helping hands towards this initiative.

Let us all come together and pledge to save Mother Earth and support such initiatives towards a better future. ☺

Let us try and give back to our Earth so that our further generations get to enjoy this beautiful nature.

Be selfish to save the Earth for our own existence!
