On October 1, Splend was highlighted at the Global Disruptive Innovation Summit in Santa Clara, California. Blockchain is the most prevalent topic nowadays, so we wanted to share our vision of its development with the blockchain community. Our CEO Rick Bleszynski gave a keynote speech on “Innovate or Reinvent (Enabling Mass Adoption)”.
We believe blockchain will be the new network with an explosive growth in new users, and we at Splend are working hard to improve its infrastructure. Blockchain will transform the internet as the new global network of trust using cryptography. However, to reach mass adoption with blockchain, scalability issues from cryptography need to be solved. These issues affect every standard and protocol established in the software and hardware that processes the blockchain, as shown on the diagram below.
Currently, the majority of technology companies are focused only on overcoming the issues related to Protocol and Consensus layers. While only a complex approach can lead to success, Splend addresses all the layers in order to solve the bottleneck in the “Funnel Dilemma”, both innovate and reinvent the blockchain to reach the scalability for billions of users and devices.
As evidenced over the past 30+ years with prior companies where Splend’s team members solved similar “Funnel Dilemmas”, Splend has the capability to solve these scalability issues using software and hardware integration.
At Splend, we are practically crossing a bridge toward mass adoption. The partnership we have signed with Shanghai Code Center Industry in September 2018 is a significant step forward. Thanks to this major strategic alliance with the largest Chinese media enterprise with over 1 billion viewers, we will implement the next generation network infrastructure for the China Cable Television Network.
Splend brings the blockchain’s benefits to the radio and television industry as part of the alliance, and therefore, contributes to developing the service platform based on the next generation of digital TV network infrastructure. This alliance includes some of China’s largest brands like Beijing UnionPay, Huawei and others. Refer to illustration below.
