Based on the results from last year, and the search popularity already taking off this year, it seems DIY back to school videos will be the biggest winner in the trend.

For example, this video published on August 11, 2016, has more than 50 million views.

DIYs consist of demonstrations on how to make various school supplies, such as back packs, pencil cases, folders and stationary, as well as how to jazz up ordinary items to give them a more personal/unique touch.

Most of the videos are aimed at pre-teens and teenagers returning to high school or middle school, according to Think With Google more than half of parents are influenced by their child or children when making buying decisions for the new school year.

Early bird videos this year include back to school DIYs, hacks, struggles, hauls, morning routines, beauty and fashion videos and comedic sketches such as how guys v girls get ready for the new school year — and they’re already raking up millions of views.
