Sin Taxes Work, But Should We Use Them?
Ester Bloom

I strongly favor sin taxes, especially when it comes to public health. There is a high cost to heavy sugar consumption that, when not realized immediately by sugar producers and consumers, is instead being externalized to our health care costs. I prefer a government that deincentivizes and raises the bar for uniformly unhealthy decisions if it means people end up healthier for it.
