Jonquel Jones Leads Liberty to Critical Game 3 Victory in WNBA Finals
The New York Liberty managed to avoid elimination, thanks to a stellar performance by Jonquel Jones, who dominated on both ends of the court. In Game 3, the Liberty’s trio shot an efficient 48% on 27 attempts, while the Aces’ starting trio managed only 42% on 43 shots.
Betnijah Laney, reflecting on the team’s defensive effort, acknowledged the Aces’ strengths but praised her team’s improvement, saying, “They’re a great team. They have a lot of weapons. You can’t stop every single thing. But I think overall we did a much better job defensively.”
