Erling Braut Haaland, a professional footballer from Norway who plays as a striker for both the Norway national team and German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, was born on July 21, 2000. Haaland is a prolific scorer whose speed, athleticism, and finishing prowess have earned him the moniker “The Terminator” among many of his supporters. He is regarded as one of the top scorers in football. he's also considered as one of fastest football players in the world.

Haaland began his career in 2016 at his local club Bryne. The following year, he transferred to Molde, where he played for two seasons before joining with the Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019. He won the Austrian Cup and two Austrian Bundesliga championships at Salzburg. During the 2019–20 season, Haaland made history by being the first youngster to score in five straight UEFA Champions League games. He completed his transfer to Borussia Dortmund in December 2019 for an alleged sum of around €20 million. The 2020 Golden Boy award went to Haaland as well. He had a key role in Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal victory in 2020–21, took home the Bundesliga Player of the Season honour, and finished as the Champions League’s top scorer.

Following the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, when Haaland set a tournament record by scoring nine goals in one game, he made his senior team debut for Norway in September of that year.
