Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey to Perform Thursday Evening at BergenPAC!

(Englewood, NJ) It’s time to get nostalgic with hundreds of other fans when the Bergen Performing Arts Center (BergenPAC) in Englewood, NJ presents An Evening With Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey this Thursday, July 14, 2016.

Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey were part of the world famous trio, Peter, Paul & Mary. The group helped transform folk music into an inspirational language with their moving songs that spoke to people of every stripe during a very critical era of social change.

Peter, Paul & Mary arrived on the scene in Greenwich Village in the early 1960s and reclaimed folk’s potency as a social, cultural, and political force. They sang at the March on Washington in 1963 when Dr. Martin Luther King gave his “I Have a Dream” speech, participated in the Selma to Montgomery March, sang at countless anti-Vietnam War rallies, and launched decades of musical activism.

During their legendary career, Peter, Paul & Mary won five Grammys, produced 13 Top 40 hits, in addition to eight gold and five platinum albums.

These days, without their beloved Mary, Peter and Noel Paul continue to perform individually. On special occasions, however, they get together to perform on stage as a duo. Singing many of the their classic hits including “If I Had a Hammer,” “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Puff (The Magic Dragon),” “I Dig Rock & Roll Music,” and “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” Peter and “Paul” always deliver a euphoric concert for fans filled with infectious, sing-along tunes.

Showtime for An Evening with Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey is 8pm, Thursday, July 12, 2016, at BergenPAC, 30 North Van Brunt St., Englewood, NJ. Tickets are $69, $49, and $39 and may be purchased by clicking on ticketmaster.com or by calling 201–227–1030.
