I created one of these designs as a self imposed design challenge and published it to heylinkedin.com. They reached out to me immediately and the next thing I knew, I was on a video call with their VP of User Experience and other members of their team in Mountainview.

There are many “pretty” designs out there but I think what triggered their interest is that I showed my thinking and familiarity with the technical constraints of a company of their size. They were super nice people and very open to hearing ideas. Linkedin could be a very elegant and useful experience!
