WHY SPREAD?

People, behaviours, society, relationships, the nature of business, of transactions and the world are all changing constantly.

“The question is whether we accept change passively and are swept away by it… or whether one takes the lead, creates positive change, on one’s own initiative”.

Design, since it gained currency in the socio-economic world has been a strong advocate and quite visibly an agent of rapid change. Deeply immersed in its tasks, processes and projects, design’s primary focus has been to catalyse change in the external world.

At SPREAD, however we believe that change must start from within. With its people, its policies and its culture.

How do we do this?

Put simply, we apply the same stringent yardsticks and expectations that we have on our interventions, projects and clients… on ourselves.

  1. The letter and spirit of partnership

Design is a partnership. So is SPREAD. Not one or two of us, but all of us together own SPREAD. A bit like a law or consultancy firm, SPREAD is a partnership company.

Each one of us, after the completion of a maximum of one year in the company, owns a part of SPREAD as a partner. Irrespective of age and experience!

2. Work is a challenge

Work needs to be accompanied by passion. A passion to rise above yourself. Like design has and like it will continue to do so.

Each task, we take up at SPREAD is an attempt to challenge the status quo.

An opportunity to transform. Look beyond the incremental, design the exponential.

The outcome needs to be much larger than the task itself.

Each and every project, than becomes an opportunity to get noticed… nationally, globally!

3. Design is Disruption
What we end up earning is never really enough. And good design, more often than not ends up earning a lot of money and equity for our clients and partners.

Good enough reason, for good designers to be paid much more than what they are currently earning, and also to earn a share of the profits that SPREAD will make. Transparently so!

4. The idea of co-creation is not just for clients
Design needs to rise above the idea of sylos. At SPREAD, we believe the conceptual, physical, experiential and the virtual world will come together seamlessly to create game changing ideas.

At SPREAD — business, brand, experience, interaction and service design will work as one, come together holistically to bring about transformation and massive impact.

5. We will also invest in design
At SPREAD, we are and will continue to make significant capital investments in technology, hardware, software and in training to ensure that we, like our clients are always prepared for what’s NEXT!

SPREAD recognizes the fact that all skills, expertise and specialization need not necessary lie within itself. There are many more people and systems in the world who may be doing bigger and better things
