Thursday August 15th

Today our crews were able to visit The Gardens at Arkanshire, an independent living facility in the southern portion of the city. The staff at Arkanshire provided a top notch breakfast for the crews of Ladder 1, Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Engine 5, Medic 2, Medic 5, and Battalion 1. After the breakfast the fire department presented a short safety presentation to some of the residents and then went on a tour of the facility. Our personnel were able to visit with quite a few of the residents, who offered very kind words of appreciation and encouragement.
