Delanie Walker, tight end for the Tennessee Titans, heads the Delanie Walker Gives Back Foundation, a transformative charity. It does just that in a variety of ways.

Established in 2014, the mission of Walker’s foundation is to provide inner city and low-income children with educational opportunities and resources that enable them to reach their full potential. Walker aims to impact the lives of more than 20,000 low-income Nashville and Middle Tennessee students by the end of 2017.

The Delanie Walker Gives Back Foundation has a few upcoming events that showcase the diverse ways he is serving his community. In the “Back to School Cool” program taking place in December, Walker will host 250 inner-city middle school students who will receive back to school supplies and clothing to give them the confidence necessary to return to school with a great attitude. Walker also has a “College Bound” Program in which he provides a renewable $820 per semester scholarships that can be used for tuition, books or room/board to eligible low-income college bound students.

On September 14, Walker launched his ongoing project “Delanie’s Imagination Stations”. This project constructs new libraries and reading oases in deserving schools therefore providing students with access to books and a safe reading environment. The September 14 event was a success as it served as a token of appreciation to fans. Walker is giving away autographed t-shirts on his Sqor Sports profile here.
