All users on dating apps have different intentions for why they are there. Some users are just looking for fun, while others are looking for something more serious, but is it possible to know who you are dealing with before you even meet them?

Here are some things to look out for when trying to spot a F*ckboy on an app:

1. Shirtless selfies and mirror pictures

Myspace days are long over. We would be lying if we said we didn’t enjoy a shirtless picture, but a shirtless selfie, especially in the mirror, takes it to another level.

2. Him and his “ferrari”

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve seen a picture of a guy next to a ferrari that isn’t even his! Even if the car is his, taking a picture to show it off sends a message that they are materialistic and only looking for attention.

3. His profile description says “Netflix and Chill”

This is a classic and unoriginal f*ckboy line. He’s making it clear that he wants to bone asap — Next!

4. He says he’s only looking for something casual

If this is what you are also looking for then it’s awesome that he’s up-front about that, but, if you are looking for something more, this guy is most likely a f*ckboy.

5. His opening line is super sexual

“If you were the Earth, I’d be the Sun so I could go down on you every night” or “When we matched, I had an instant boner.” While these openers can provide us with some laughs, this guy is a total f*ckboy.

6. He says he doesn’t “do dinner.”

He’s so afraid of commitment that he can’t even commit to sitting across a table from you? Don’t waste your time with this f*ckboy.

7. He writes sexist or body-shaming things on his profile description

“No fatties” or “Feminists swipe left” are common phrases among f*ckboys — listen, and swipe left.

8. He asks for nudes and/or sends dick pics

This is an obvious f*ckboy move — does this actually work on women?

9. He only wants to hang out late at night

So you meet a guy on an app and actually have an awesome date. He says all of the right things and you feel like there was chemistry. A few days later, he texts you at 2 am to “hang out.” This is an obvious booty call — unmatch him ASAP. You might have to accept that even though you both had a great date, you’re dealing with a f*ckboy.

The awesome thing about Squad is that you aren’t trying to figure a guy out on your own. Your friends are all in the group chat with you and can help make sure he’s up to your standards. Sometimes it’s easy for us to ignore the f*ckboy signs when we’re really into someone, but with our friends standing by, they can always jump in to give you a quick dose of reality.

Having your friends around when you are just starting to get to know someone is a huge time-saver, and of course, they are always there to rush to your aid if things go wrong. F*ckboys will always be around, but going out with your friends on Squad ensures that even if you do meet a f*ckboy, you are still out having a great time with your girlfriends.
