I hope what I wrote isn’t more unclear generally; I think movements and organizations should be as inclusive of people as possible. That means that xenophobic, bigoted, racist, misogynistic, and otherwise hateful or exclusive rhetoric is not tolerated; but that doesn’t mean that everyone who’s ever had, or frankly continues to have, regressive views on some of these questions should be excluded if they open to being organized into a progressive movement. Instead, they should be educated with an open and positive mind while still being brought into a demanding-but-wecloming community of activists.
